A special coin of Rs 75 is being introduced to mark the inauguration of the new Parliament building. The Ministry of Finance reported this information on Thursday. Besides, this coin is being introduced on the occasion of 75 years of India’s independence. One side of the coin will have the lion capital of the Ashoka pillar. Under which will be written, ‘Satyamev Jayate’. On the left side will be written in Devanagari script, “India.” On the right will be written in English “Of India.”
The coin will have the symbol under the lion’s capital will be written, the value of 75 in international numerals. The reverse side of the coin has a picture of the Parliament building square. “Parliament Assembly” will be written above in Devanagari script and “Parliament Square” will be written below in English.
The coin will be circular in shape with a diameter of 44 millimeters and will have 200 serrations along its edges. The 35-gram coin will be made of a four-part alloy. Which will contain 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel and 5% zinc.
