Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL), Asia’s first listed depository, marked its silver jubilee by launching two pioneering multi-lingual initiatives aimed at enhancing accessibility and inclusivity in the capital market landscape. The initiatives were inaugurated by SEBI Chairperson Smt. Madhabi Puri Buch during the silver jubilee function on January 17, 2024.Under the banner ‘Apka CAS – Apki Zubaani,’ CDSL introduces a revolutionary upgrade to investor CAS, allowing statements in 23 diverse Indian languages. This move ensures easier accessibility, providing investors a consolidated view of their securities in a language of their choice. Complementing this, the ‘CDSL Buddy Sahayta 24*7’ chatbot on the CDSL website offers multi-lingual support, becoming a constant companion for investors seeking assistance on their journeys toward financial self-sufficiency.
CDSL’s commitment to market awareness was further demonstrated through the unveiling of a Thought Leadership Report on ‘Reimagine Digital Trust in Capital Markets,’ prepared in collaboration with KPMG. Additionally, the successful conclusion of the ‘Neev’ campaign, a 25-city Pan-India Financial Literacy initiative, showcased CDSL’s dedication to spreading financial literacy across diverse communities.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Nehal Vora, MD & CEO, expressed pride in these pivotal initiatives, emphasizing inclusivity as CDSL’s core ethos. He stated, “Our vision is clear: the only language we speak is that of inclusive trust, envisioning a united CDSL where our ethos resonates with unified trust.” As CDSL celebrates 25 years, these initiatives represent a significant milestone in its journey towards building and elevating inclusive trust in the financial landscape.
