Casio India, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of consumer electronics donated 150+ projectors in support with GlobalHunt Foundation to set up digital connectivity across underprivileged and backward communities of Delhi, Assam and Tripura.
Casio’s ‘Gyan Ki Roshni’ CSR initiative aims to inculcate social, cultural, environmental, and financial skills among communities that lack basic access and understanding of larger life concepts. These skills are fostered though digital connectivity which has been established through provision of more than 150 Casio LED Laser hybrid projectors across government & aided schools, colleges, tea estates, local tribal communities and agricultural farmers to generate awareness on sustainable farming, financial literacy, menstrual hygiene, cyber security, skill and vocational trainings and entertainment though local films, folk music etc. This project is likely to benefit around 10,000 individuals including children, women, farmers, youth, and transgender among others, who will be digitally get connected to the larger world.
Mr. Kulbhushan Seth, Vice-President, Casio India said, “Gyan ki Roshni is our endeavour to enlighten, uplift and empower the underprivileged communities through digital learning.” Mr. Sunil Goel, Managing Director, GlobalHunt Foundation added, “The project will equip underprivileged and backward society to accept and imbibe technology within their everyday life and how best they can further grow and expand their horizons through technology.”
