Cartoon Network & POGO launch 18th School Contact Program to foster kindness and sustainability

Cartoon Network and POGO have launched the 18th edition of their School Contact Program (SCP), one of India’s largest school outreach initiatives. Targeting over one million students across 1,400 schools in 17 cities, the program aims to instill values of kindness and sustainability among young learners. Tanaz Mehta, Head of Advertising Revenues, South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, stated, “The 18th edition marks another milestone in shaping thoughtful, empowered citizens of tomorrow. This year’s rollout across schools, television, and digital platforms provides partners a unique, purpose-driven way to engage with kids and families nationwide.”

The program features ‘POGO Heroes of Kindness’, encouraging empathy and community spirit through beloved characters like Chhota Bheem, Little Singham, and Balram from Jay Jagannath. Cartoon Network’s ‘Titans of Tomorrow’ emphasizes environmental awareness, motivating students to take actionable steps toward a sustainable future. Key sponsors include Sunfeast Yippee Noodles, Act II, Dettol, Amazon India, Dark Fantasy, Yellow Diamond, Meesho, Tata Soulful Ragi Bites, Ziggy Donut Cake, and Tedibar Ceramax.

In Kolkata, schools in the city have welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm, integrating the program into classroom activities and workshops. Local educators noted that the engaging content and relatable characters resonate strongly with students, fostering conversations around kindness and environmental responsibility. The 18th edition, which began this August, will continue to reach classrooms across India in the coming weeks, combining learning, fun, and social impact.
