Taking it’s Fit India Movement further, Border Security Force, Meghalaya Frontier organized campaign against Drug addiction and alcohol abuses on 1st Oct 2020 with great enthusiasm to raise awareness about the challenges drug and alcohol pose specially to the young generation and the society.
Personnel in uniform with slogans “Drug abuse? No Excuse” and “Say No To Drugs” marched from Umpling till the general area of Nongmynsong, Shillong. The aim of the campaign is to inspire and mobilize the young generation and garner support against drug and alcohol abuses.
Sh UK Nayal, DIG/PRO BSF Meghalaya referring to Gandhiji’ pointed out that drug abuse leads to moral deterioration and intellectual downfall. He also appealed to the youths to refrain themselves from taking drugs and psychotropic substances in any form.
