Byatikram Real Estate Conclave 2.0 Highlights Urban Growth Potential in Northeast India

The Byatikram Real Estate Conclave 2.0, hosted on 25th July 2025 at Hotel Vivanta, Guwahati, brought together key stakeholders to spotlight the dynamic growth of Northeast India’s real estate sector. Organized by Byatikram Group in association with The Times of India, and powered by SRMB and NEDFi, the event was supported by SBI, Ambuja Neotia, Sree Balaji Panthaniwas, and IDFC First Bank. The conclave was actively promoted by media partners Mirchi 95, Prag News, Eastern Chronicle, Shiv Media, and Byatikram Digital. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting graced by dignitaries including Prof. (Dr.) H.P. Agarwal (Royal Global University); Shri Anirban Das Majumder, Asst. Vice President – Sales & Marketing, SRMB Srijan Pvt. Ltd.; Lion Pankaj Poddar, District Governor, Lions District 322G; Advocate Junmoni Devi Khaund; Neeraj Choudhury, DGM, REHBU (Real Estate and Housing Business Unit), SBI; and Manash Gogoi, Branch Head, Guwahati, Northeast – The Times of India. Welcoming the gathering, Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, Patron-in-Chief of Byatikram, said, “Real estate is a powerful engine of urban growth. This conclave was envisioned to bring buyers, builders, and developers together to share insights and build awareness.”

The keynote address by Mr. P.K. Sharma, President of AREIDA, underlined Assam’s growing real estate volume, currently valued at $26 billion and expanding at a rate of 8–10% annually. He emphasized that rising population and urbanization expected to reach 40% by 2030 will drive demand for housing, infrastructure, and land-use solutions. Mr. P.V.S.L.N. Murty, CGM of NEDFi, lauded the expanding footprint of real estate into previously untapped regions like Tezpur and Dibrugarh. Mr. Prabhas B. Bose, CGM of SBI, affirmed the bank’s commitment, noting, “We are proud partners in Assam’s real estate success. Builders and customers trust us because of our quick processing and high satisfaction levels.”

A special presentation by SRMB Srijan Pvt. Ltd. showcased innovations in construction materials vital for durable and sustainable infrastructure. One of the most emotional moments came with the conferring of the Byatikram Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 in Real Estate to Ar. (Rtn.) Abani Kumar Das, Managing Director, Dona Builders Pvt. Ltd. In his acceptance speech, he shared: “From studying on the floor in rural Assam to building institutions, my journey has always been about resilience and purpose.”

This was followed by a talk on sustainable development by Er. Dipak Kumar Baishya, Addl. Chief Engineer, PWD Roads, Assam (Middle Assam Zone, Tezpur), and a vibrant panel discussion titled “Building a Stronger India: The Role of Real Estate in Nation Building,” moderated by Shri Razvee Hussain (Retd. ACS, Govt. of Assam). Panelists included Anurag Khetawat (Achyut Group); Sanjay Kr. Agarwal, Proprietor, S3 Realtor and Former President, Guwahati Realtors Association; Advocates Seema Sharma and Soheli Seal Sarkar; and architect Rana Mahanta. The final session, “Real Estate Beyond Bricks & Walls”, was led by Pranab Dutta, Qualified Personal Finance Professional, NCFE Certified Financial Education Trainer, and Founder of Fortune Wings. He encouraged attendees to view property not just as an asset, but as a long-term personal growth strategy. Abhijit Dutta, Co-founder of Fortune Wings, also added valuable insights during the same session, emphasizing the role of financial literacy and strategic planning in making real estate a foundation for sustainable wealth creation. The event concluded on a high note with a vote of thanks and a shared vision for a sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous real estate future in the Northeast.
