Byatikram Group hosts grand launch of Dr. Seema Kashyap’s five books in Guwahati

A literary and cultural gathering marked the launch of five books by eminent writer Dr. Seema Kashyap at an event organised by the Byatikram Group in Guwahati on April 23. The ceremony brought together noted personalities from literature, academia, journalism and the arts. Among those present were Manisha Hazarika, Surjya Kanta Hazarika, former Assam University Vice Chancellor Dilip Nath, Pragjyotishpur University Vice Chancellor Smriti Kumar Sinha, actor Kopil Bora, actress Nishita Goswami and Assam Sahitya Sabha general secretary Assam Sahitya Sabha representative Debajit Bora.

The books unveiled were “Shunya Theke Shikhare” (Bengali translation), “Rosona Samaghra”, “Zubeen Garg: Ek Aastito” (Hindi translation), “Ami Zubeen Bolchi” (Bengali translation), and “30 Dinot Xoloni Korok Apunar Jibon”. The works focus on themes of resilience, self-discovery, emotional depth and personal growth. Speaking at the event, Surjya Kanta Hazarika said Dr. Kashyap’s writings reflected “life’s deeper truths” and had the power to inspire readers. Manisha Hazarika praised the author’s emotional depth and authenticity, while Dilip Nath said such literary efforts help promote intellectual growth in society.

Addressing the audience, Dr. Kashyap said her books were shaped by personal experiences, struggles and introspection, adding that her aim was to inspire readers, especially the youth, to embrace creativity, perseverance and self-belief. The programme also featured an interactive session with Dr. Kashyap and Nishita Goswami, musical performances, Bihu and Sattriya dance presentations, and a special celebration of the author’s birthday.
