Days after a Pakistani drone carrying drugs was seized in Punjab, Border Security Force (BSF) troops on Saturday foiled another attempt to smuggle drugs from Pakistan to India. Bsf troops shot down a drone carrying suspected drugs from Pakistan near Rai village in Punjab’s Amritsar.
Earlier, forces recovered a Pakistani drone on the international border near Rai village on Thursday and Friday midnight.
Punjab Frontier’s PRO, said they suspect the smuggled item to be heroin with a total weight of around 5.5 kg. “On June 10, at around 4 am, BSF troops deployed along the border reported the indian space violation by a drone coming from the Pakistani side. The soldiers also heard the sound of something falling on an agricultural field in a deep area near Rai village in Amritsar. As per the scheduled drill, BSF troops responded immediately,” the PRO added.
