On intervening night of 24/25 July 2020, acting on tip-off, vigilant BSF troops deployed on Indo Bangladesh International Border under Guwahati Frontier rescued 110 cattle heads during special operations conducted in bordering areas of Districts South Salamara and Dhubri (Assam) and Coochbehar (WB), while these cattle heads were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh taking advantage of flood condition of mighty Brahmaputra and other river.
Keeping in view the vulnerability of border, heightened activities of the smugglers and anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes & illegal infiltration and are making all out efforts to prevent commission of such crimes.BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes.
