of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended 05 smugglers. One of them apprehended alongwith 3200 Nos of Yaba tablets and others were apprehended alongwith cattle heads from bordering areas of village Fekamari, PS– Kharuabandha, Distt –South Salamara (Assam) and Vill- Sarkar Para, PS- Sukhchar, Distt- Dhubri (Assam) on 11-12 July 2020.
Acting on tip-off, on specific information of Field G Team Dhubri, BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Ashmeralga of 06 Bn BSF carried out a special joint operation with Kharuabandha Police rep in general area of village Fekamari, PS Kharuabandha under South Salamara district (Assam). At about 1630 hrs, a suspicious movement was observed by the joint operation party, on being challenged them to stop. They did not pay any heed. Joint operation party succeeded to apprehend one Indian drug smuggler along with 3200 nos Yaba tablets. Apprehended drug smuggler identified as Minu Mia, (40 yrs), S/o Late Jinat Ali, R/o Sonapur, PS-Mankachar, Distt-South Salamara, (Assam). Apprehended smuggler alongwith seized item have been handed over to PS-Kharuabandha, Distt-South Salamara (Assam) for further legal action.
In second operation, on tip-off, on 12 July 2020, BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) ODA of 41 Bn BSF observed a suspicious movement of miscreants on Indo-Bangladesh International Border, on being challenged them, the miscreants tried to fled away from the spot by taking advantage of darkness. But due to alertness of troops 02 Indian cattle smuggler alongwith 06 cattle heads were apprehended. The apprehended cattle smugglers identified as Rafiqul Islam (22 Yrs), S/o Rustam Ali, Vill- 900 Bigha, PO- Nilokia, PS- Sukhchar, Distt- Dhubri (Assam) and Attowar Hossain (29 Yrs), S/o Eyasan Ali, Vill- Sarkar Para, PS- Sukhchar, Distt- Dhubri (Assam). Apprehended smugglers alongwith seized items have been handed over to PS- Sukhchar for further legal action.
In third operation, on tip-off, on 12 July 2020, BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Mahamaya Char of 41 Bn BSF apprehended 02 Indian cattle smuggler alongwith 03 cattle. The apprehended cattle smugglers identified as Aminul Islam (38 yrs), S/o Matalab Mollah, Vill- Sarkar Para Part- II, PO- Nilokia, PS- Sukhchar, Distt- Dhubri (Assam) and Nojmil Haque (31 yrs), S/o Bolu Bepari, Vill- Salamara, PS- Sukhchar, Distt- Dhubri (Assam). Apprehended smugglers alongwith seized items have been handed over to PS- Sukhchar for further legal action. Keeping in view the vulnerability of border, heightened activities of the smugglers and anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes & illegal infiltration and are making all out efforts to prevent commission of such crimes
