Bongaigaon Police nab two associates of notorious trading scam leader

In a crackdown on a fraudulent trading network, Bongaigaon police arrested two individuals allegedly working for the notorious scammer, Mainao Brahma. The accused, Sumit Barman of Musalpur and Jyotishman Sharma of Mangaldoi, were apprehended during a raid in Bongaigaon town.

The duo had been operating as agents for Brahma, who is wanted for masterminding a large-scale financial scam involving fake investment schemes that deceived traders and investors across Assam. Acting on specific intelligence, police captured the suspects from a hidden location.

Mainao Brahma’s fraudulent activities have inflicted severe financial losses, with victims emerging from several districts. Authorities have intensified their efforts to locate Brahma and dismantle his fraudulent network. The arrested individuals are being interrogated as police seek to gather more leads on Brahma’s whereabouts and uncover the full scope of the scam.
