BM Birla Heart Hospital, India’s first NABH-accredited hospital, has launched an “Enhanced Cardiac Care” Program, a digital first initiative, in honor of National Technology Day. Dozee’s AI-based Contactless Remote Patient Monitoring and Early Warning System are being integrated into all ward beds, marking a significant step towards preventive and proactive care, focusing on continuous monitoring to identify and address clinical deterioration early. The hospital is implementing a strategic move to prioritize preventive and proactive care over reactive responses, leveraging data-driven technology to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
The ‘Enhanced Cardiac Care’ Program is a testament to BM Birla Heart Hospital’s commitment to providing the highest quality cardiac care through the seamless integration of Dozee and medical expertise. Dozee is a patented technology that allows healthcare workers to remotely monitor patients’ vital parameters, including heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, SPO2 levels, temperature, and ECG.
Its Early Warning System (EWS) tracks trends and alerts providers for early clinical deterioration, enabling timely medical intervention. Research by Sattva shows that for every 100 Dozee-connected beds, it saves 144 lives, 80% of nurses’ vitals time, and reduces ICU ALOS by 1.3 days. Dr. Anjan Siotia, Director of the Cardiology Department, BM Birla Heart Hospital, Kolkata, asserted, “By embracing cutting-edge technology, we are not only enhancing patient safety but also setting new benchmarks for cardiac care delivery.”
