BJP’s Pushpanjali Boro set to win big, Mallabaruah declares

With the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) elections approaching, Assam Cabinet Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah has launched a scathing attack on the Congress, predicting a decisive defeat for the party. Addressing an election rally, Mallabaruah claimed that Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Bhupen Borah is already preparing excuses for the impending loss. He further alleged that even Borah’s closest aides acknowledge the party’s shrinking influence in these elections.

Speaking at a campaign event in 36 No. Rani constituency, Mallabaruah strongly backed Pushpanjali Kumari Boro, the BJP-AGP-supported candidate, who also has the endorsement of the Rabha Joint Struggle Committee. Expressing confidence in the ruling alliance’s success, the minister predicted a sweeping victory across all 36 constituencies and asserted that Boro would emerge as the highest vote-getter in her constituency.

Mallabaruah further downplayed Congress’ relevance in the upcoming polls, emphasizing the party’s declining political stature in the region.
