Bisleri and Katalytic Charter Educational Foundation launch ‘Bottles for Change’ to promote sustainability in Sikkim schools

Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. has joined forces with the Katalytic Charter Educational Foundation (KCEF) to drive environmental responsibility across schools in Sikkim through its flagship initiative, ‘Bottles for Change’. The collaboration will engage over 214 schools, encouraging students to creatively repurpose used plastic into functional and artistic items, while promoting awareness about responsible plastic usage.

The initiative will also feature a mega cleanliness drive led by charter school students in collaboration with local communities, highlighting youth-led environmental action. Bisleri’s Director of Corporate Affairs, K. Ganesh, said, “Through initiatives like ‘Bottles for Change’, we aim to instill environmental responsibility among students and empower them to lead by example.” Ms. Kunzang Choeki, Founder of KCEF, added that education is key to transforming sustainable practices, and this partnership will bring sustainability to the heart of classrooms and communities.

In Gangtok, the initiative is expected to strengthen local engagement as schools actively participate in sustainability programs. Local businesses and distributors of Bisleri products in Gangtok are witnessing positive community response, with parents and educators supporting youth-led efforts to create cleaner neighborhoods. The program also reinforces Bisleri’s broader Sustainability 2.0 and Greener Promise initiatives, cementing the company’s role in fostering environmental stewardship across Sikkim.
