According to the Government’s ‘Ease of Living Index’, Bengaluru has emerged as the most liveable city in India, followed by Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Surat. Out of the 49 cities ranked on livability index in the ‘million plus population’ category, Delhi figures 13th. More than 32 lakh people across 111 cities of India participated in a ‘Citizen Perception Survey’, holding a weightage of 30 per cent.
Bengaluru catapulted from 58th rank in EoLI 2018 to the top, bumping down the former topper, Pune, to second place.
