Nandan Kumar, a software engineer from Bangalore, grabbed the attention of netizens after landing a top job with IndiGo. While traveling from Patna to Bangalore on an IndiGo flight, Kumar was in a pickle after his luggage was mistakenly picked up by a fellow passenger.
The incident didn’t take long to snowball into a larger situation that prompted Kumar to use his developer powers for good.
Karigi took to Twitter to share the story of recovering her bag and also pointed out security breaches on IndiGo’s website.
Kumar has now become a mini-celebrity among netizens for using his engineering skills for a fundamental cause. So much so, that Twitter now seeks his help in getting to the bottom of their problems while traveling on flights.
From asking Kumar to check the reputation of their luggage to begging him to choose their larger legroom and hot food at the portal, people had a lot to say.
IndiGo shared an observation of Kumar’s Twitter post apologizing that they were sorry for the inconvenience caused and assured him that the website’s security framework was ‘robust’.
According to a file using StoryPick, Kumar said the airline recognized him and apologized.
