The trouble around Pathaan seems to never end. It all started with Deepika Padukone wearing a ‘saffron’ bikini and being groped by a Muslim man played by Shah Rukh Khan. Protests were seen across the country, a mall in Ahmedabad was vandalized and the censor board ordered several cuts that featured side poses and hips. Despite this, Bajrang Dal has now threatened a Siddharth Anand-directed release. Scroll down for all the details!
To begin with, it is sad that a film intended for entertainment has now been politicized. Shah Rukh Khan even spoke at a recent event and showed his faith in the audience that his film will succeed at the box office despite all the negativity. But this certainly cannot happen if it faces bans in some parts of the country.
According to a recent report by Times Now, the Bajrang Dal has issued public threats to prevent Pathan’s release in Gujarat. Many protests were going on and members of the organization had earlier created a ruckus inside various malls in the state. They refused to obey the instructions of the Censor Board and took matters into their own hands.
