Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has announced the launch of the Global Insurance Excellence Awards (GIEA) 2025 to honour outstanding general and health insurance advisors across Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. The awards, administered by Asia Insurance Review (AIR), aim to recognise excellence in the insurance advisory sector.
The awards will feature eleven distinct categories, acknowledging achievements in health, motor, property, and multiline insurance, among others. A panel of eminent international experts, including industry leaders from Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, Sri Lanka, and India, will evaluate the nominees. Winners will be announced later in the year and celebrated at a grand awards ceremony in India.
Recognising Excellence in Insurance Advisory
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance’s MD & CEO Tapan Singhel highlighted the role of insurance advisors as the “unsung heroes” of the industry, providing vital support during challenging times. He emphasized that the GIEA Awards would raise the benchmark for excellence, with AIR’s global expertise enhancing the event’s credibility. Asia Insurance Review CEO Sheela Suppiah noted that this year’s awards mark an expanded international scope, recognizing top advisors outside India for the first time.
The nomination period is open from February 19 to March 20, 2025, with submissions accepted online at https://www.asiainsurancereview.com/giea2025/
With insurance penetration rising in India’s northeastern region, markets like Guwahati are witnessing a surge in demand for innovative insurance solutions. Local advisors are playing a crucial role in increasing awareness and access to general and health insurance, particularly among small businesses and self-employed professionals. The GIEA Awards provide an opportunity for insurance advisors from Guwahati and other emerging markets to gain national and international recognition for their contributions.
