Ayurveda expert recommends 7-day diet plan for seasonal change

As the seasons shift from winter to spring, Ayurveda expert Dr. Madhumitha Krishnan emphasizes the importance of a balanced diet to prevent seasonal health issues. According to Ayurveda, this transitional period, known as Sandhi Kala, disrupts the body’s Doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—leading to digestive issues, weakened immunity, and respiratory problems.

Dr. Krishnan recommends consuming warm, well-cooked meals and incorporating natural immunity boosters like homemade ghee, vegetable soups, and a handful of almonds. She has outlined a 7-day Ayurvedic meal plan designed to support digestion, boost immunity, and maintain overall well-being. The diet includes nutrient-rich dishes such as methithepla with curd, moong dal khichdi, besanchilla, and almond-infused meals to provide essential proteins and healthy fats.

Dr. Krishnan highlights that a well-balanced diet, combined with regular Abhyanga (self-massage with warm oil), can help manage seasonal transitions smoothly, ensuring a healthier lifestyle.
