The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) on Monday formally announced its decision to abstain from a Special Investigation Team (SIT) meeting probing the mysterious death of celebrated singer Zubeen Garg in Singapore. The student body cited legal reasons, emphasizing that participation could inadvertently provide advantages to the accused during ongoing judicial proceedings.
