The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)produced West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) former president Kalyanmoy Ganguly before a special court of the agency in connection with the Group-C recruitment scam in government schools on Friday, officials informed. Ganguly was called by the agency's Kolkata office for questioning on Thursday and was arrested after finding evidence of non-cooperation. India added 6,422 new coronavirus infections taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,45,16,479, while active cases rose to 46,389, according to Union Health Ministry data on Thursday.
