A 21-year-old post-graduate student at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad committed suicide in her hostel room, police said. This incident happened on Monday night. The woman, Mamita Naik, joined the institute on July 27 to pursue a master's degree in civil engineering at IIT Hyderabad. But within two weeks of joining the institute, the woman took extreme steps.
