Final Electoral Roll Published In Assam Under Special Revision

The final electoral roll for the state has been officially published following the Special Revision (SR 2026), a senior election official announced on Tuesday. Earlier, the integrated draft electoral roll was released on December 27, 2025. Prior to that, a statewide door-to-door verification drive was conducted from November 22 to December 20, 2025. The period for filing claims and objections remained open from December 27, 2025, to January 22, 2026. The carcass of an adult male tiger was recovered on Friday morning around 8 am from the western side of Mandir Baneshwar APC area under the Burapahar Range of Ghorakati in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR).
