Saffron grown in Kishtwar region of J&K has got the Geographical Indication (GI) tag by the Geographical Indications Registry. The spice is grown in few parts of the Kishtwar region of Jammu, along with parts of Kashmir. The legendary and most expensive cultivation of saffron, widely known as Kumkum, is also a key cash crop in Jammu's isolated mountainous area of Kishtwar. Saffron cultivation is a cultural heritage which  represents freshness and purity. Kishtwar's saffron production area is locally known as Mandal.

Coca-Cola India on November 22 (Wednesday) said it is entering into the ready-to-drink tea beverages segment with the launch of 'Honest Tea'. The company has collaborated with the organic green tea for the product which will be collected from Darjeeling-based Luxmi Tea Co Private Ltd's Makaibari Tea Estate, company officials said. The idea behind the launch was to offer consumers with a wider range of beverage options, a senior official of Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia said. The bottled iced green tea will come in two flavours Lemon-Tulsi and Mango, he added.

Vinay M Tonse has been selected as the MD (Managing Director) of the SBI, according to an order by the personnel ministry said. Previously he was working as the deputy managing director at State Bank of India.
