Hospitality and travel-tech firm OYO on March 14 (Thursday) announced its plans to establish 50 homestays in Odisha, specifically in Puri and nearby areas, in the upcoming year with an aim to make profit after watching a surge in religious tourism. The Kolkata Metropolitan Region has witnessed a 5 year high in property registrations in February 2024, with over 4,800 properties registered, according to global property consultant Knight Frank India. Following a decline in property registrations in January 2024 due to the Pausha period, a buoyant uptrend was seen in February 2024, marking a 306% month-on-month (MoM) growth.  On an annual basis, this represents a strong 64 % year-on-year (YoY) growth, it said. PM Modi on March 10th (Sunday) virtually inaugurated the new terminal buildings of the Pune and Kolhapur airports in Maharashtra which will be furnished with different modern facilities. The facility will also include 10 aerobridges and 72 check-in counters. The price hike is to balance out the residual effect of the past input costs, the auto major said in a statement.
