Assam to witness heavy rainfall from May 27 & other parts as well

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert north-eastern states as the states will soon face heavy to heavy rainfall in upcoming days. According to the IMD reports, the dates for the weather disaster are on May 27 & 28 Assam and Meghalaya to face extremely heavy rainfall. On the other hand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will witness on May 27. Further, Arunachal Pradesh will receive extremely heavy rainfall on May 28. And lastly, Sikkim will witness heavy rainfall on May 27 and 28, 2024.

Assam government asks schools to avoid open space for morning prayers

Amidst increasing weather temperature in the state, Assam the education department has issued a notification to protect students from the heat wave. The Elementary Education Department of Assam's Kamrup Metropolitan District issued a notification which said schools need to ring the water bell three times every day during school hours so the students stay hydrated and remain protected from the scorching heat. Further, the notification also stated the morning assembly prayer need get to arranged inside the classroom rather than open space under the sun.
