Lockdown has been extended in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and West Bengal till July 31 due to the continuous spike in COVID-19 cases and deaths. The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday announced lockdown in the state from 10 pm on Friday till 5 am on July 13. All offices, markets and commercial establishments will remain closed. Buses and other public transport will be off the road. Indian Army convoy attacked by terrorists

An Indian Army convoy was attacked by a group of terrorists in Pampore durinh which a lady sustained minor injuries. According to the police, the attack on the Army convoy took place in Ladoo area of Pampore in Awantipora district of South Kashmir.  The lady, whose identity has not been revealed, got minor injuries and was shifted to nearby hospital for treatment and was discharged. After the attack, whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers all the entry and exit points are sealed in the area.

India’s coronavirus cases climbed to 7.67 lakh

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has climbed to 7,67,296. India's coronavirus tally once again crossed its highest single-day spike with close to 25,000 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. As per data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 24,879 new positive cases and 487 deaths in the last 24 hours. Out of the total number of cases, 2,69,789 are active, 4,76,378 have been cured/discharged/migrated and 21,129 have died.
