Teachers of government colleges in Manipur on Thursday staged a sit-in-protest to resume their suspended agitations demanding implementation of 7th UGC Pay and Regulations, 2018. Sikkim chief minister Prem Singh Tamang on Monday inaugurated the first of its kind ‘Child Empowerment Centre’ at Poklok in Denchung. The centre has been set up by Social Justice and Welfare Department under Integrated Child Protection Scheme, Northeast Now reported. The project was supported by the State Institute of Rural Department and Panchayati Raj (SIRDPR), Rural Development Department, Government of Sikkim.
