Centre sanctions bridge between Majuli and Jorhat

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has sanctioned for construction of a major bridge over river Brahmaputra to connect the world’s largest inhabited river island Majuli in Assam amounting to Rs 925 crore. The work has been awarded to M/s UP State Bridge Corporation Ltd, reports The Sentinel Assam. The length of the bridge will be 8 km. The project is estimated to be completed within four years. Manipur Christian leaders urge govt not to demolish churches

All Manipur Christian Organization (AMCO) on Thursday appealed to the Manipur government to drop its plans of removing churches constructed at public places in and around Imphal. AMCO alleged that none of the Churches across the state were included when the Manipur government regularized 188 worshiping places constructed at public places.  Addressing a press conference here, AMCO president Rev Prim Vaiphei said that as none of the churches were included in the list of the worshiping places, there were apprehensions of churches being removed in and around Imphal. FLWs and HCWs vaccinated in Kohima, Wokha

A total of 1278 health care workers (HCWs) and 517 frontline workers (FLWs) were vaccinated till date at various session sites under Kohima district. According to DIPR report, district immunization officer, Kohima, Dr. Rupert Peseyie informed that the last date for HCWs vaccination will be on February 20 while mop up will be for five days and last date for FLWs vaccination to get 1st dose will be on March 6, 2021.
