On a recent study carried out by US University says that by 2025 Assam will sale 100% electric three-wheeler cars. “At the current pace, Assam will likely achieve 100 per cent electric three-wheeler sales by 2025, being among the first states to achieve this, not just in India but also globally. On Friday, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar announced that people of Meghalaya living in disputed area of Assam can vote for Meghalaya election. “People living in villages along the disputed border can participate in the elections despite what has happened. On Wednesday, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said the Assam government will conduct the state-wide exercise 'Gunotsava 2023' to assess the performance of around 43 lakh students studying in over 44,500 schools. According to sources, the assessment will begin from January 18 to February 18 with the help of the education department to improve learning outcomes. A Bajrang Dal worker named Sambhu Kairi was killed near Karimganj on Saturday. Kairi was returning to Karimganj district after attending a three-day training camp of Bajrang Dal in neighboring Hailakandi district. Police said that one person involved in the murder has been arrested. Further investigation is underway. The situation in the area is critical, sources said.
