On Friday, five people lives ended as they met with an accident near Balipara in Assam's Sontipur district. According to the reports, the incident occurred due the vehicle they were travelling lost control and crashed into a roadside ditch and they were on the way to Tezpur. Further for now deceased identities are not recognized as their bodies are sent for post-mortem. Police are investigating also some other people were injured during the incident. They are shifted to the nearby hospital.

On Monday night, a drunken youth cuts off his friend’s head after an argument. The incident took place on Jorhat, Assam dibrugarh district. The accused is identified as Lohit Gogoi and the victim is identified as Ratul Saura Alias Fai. According to the reports, both were drinking together at the former’s house. On Thrusday, Congress leader Pawan Khera got arrested at Delhi airport. He was on the flight to Chhattisgarh and soon he was deplaned on request of Assam Police, on the way to Delhi. “We have requested Delhi police to arrest him (Pawan Khera). Assam MLA Akhil Gogoi, accused of anti-CAA protests and suspected Maoist links, was granted release by the Supreme Court and sought a response from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on his plea. A man named Vimal Kariya in Porbandar had filed a petition to declare his as marriage illegal and divorce the woman he married. A woman in Assam killed her husband and mother-in-law and transported pieces of the bodies packed in polythene to Meghalaya. According to the sources, the incident took place last year between August-September by the woman, her lover and their friends together. On Monday, Santosh Jaiswal came across a bike lifter in Assam's Charideo district. According to sources, Jaiswal was a seasoned bike lifter who was convicted under the Arms Act.
