‘Gunotsav 2023’ which took place from January 18 to February 18 results were released on Monday by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The evaluation scheme covered 44,531 schools and 41,35,163 (96.69 per cent) students in all 31 districts, Assam. However, the exercise has shown improvement this year compared to 2022, with the number of schools placed in the highest A+ grade category increasing and those in the lowest category going down. According to recent updates, Tinsukia district of Assam has been facing heavy hailstorm and thunderstorm, affecting people’s lives and houses, facing power cuts due to falling of trees and many more.
