Assam BJP leader Jonali Nath found dead and the body was dump near National Highway 17 in Goalpara. Police informed the BJP leader death to be mysterious as many injured marks are found in the body also said that the lead was brutally attacked before dying. On Sunday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced mega sporting competition across the state villages, Assam. An order was directed to the police in Meghalaya to find people behind setting illegal coke plant in the state. According to investigation, from Shallang area of West Khasi Hills most of the illegal coke plants operators are Assam based, police informed High Court of Meghalaya.  Also it was found that the land on which the illegal coke oven plant were operating belong to 32 persons, all of whom were females and mostly aged women. Newly Principals and teachers were recruited in 19 new Tea Garden Adarsha Vidyalayas of the state, Assam as informed earlier by the state government. On Thursday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta BIswa Sarma interacted with those recruited principals and teachers which was held in Guwahati. On Wednesday, a gas loaded tanker met with an accident near Assam’s Sonapur area in Kamrup districts. According to the reports, the accident took place due leakage gas from the gas tanker bearing registration number AS-01FC-5453. The tanker caught into fire, immediately fire service personnel were rushed in the spot. A local police detailed about the incident saying, “The tanker was coming from Guwahati. The driver lost his control and crossed over the divider. One person, a worker of the vehicle, got injured and was sent to hospital.”
