Indian Army has planned to make Narengi Military Station a completely renewable-based military station in Guwahati, Assam. According to the sources, the decision was taken due to rising heat temperature in the city, Guwahati, its main purpose is to mitigate climate change in the station. For this initiative, the Indian army has installed a green solar energy plant with a capacity of 1 MW (Mega Watt) at the military station to benefit the troops of the Indian army.

On Monday, in an accident 7 students from Assam Engineering College (AEC) were killed. In view to the incident Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma ordered the education department to institute a high-level inquiry committee. On Thursday, in a partnership with FlyBig operator Guwahati to Silchar flight service was flagged off to improve connectivity between the states. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that Assam Government will buy mustard seeds from the farmers at a higher rate under the Price Support Scheme (PSS). Assam CM said, the procurement will be done through the Assam State Agricultural Board and Assam Food and Civil Supplies Corporation as the state-level agencies and NAFED as the central agency. In Karimganj, Assam, a school principal got arrested for sexually assaulting a minor girl, student of the school. According to the reports, the principal named Asar Uddin called the girl in his room and tried to sexually assault her. On Monday, seven students of Assam Engineering were killed in a road accident in Guwahati, Assam. Along with seven deaths, six others were injured in the accident.
