Amidst Manipur violence, a meeting was held between Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh and Assam Rifles Chief Lieutenant General P.C. Nair for security situation in the violence hit state, Manipur. According to the sources, allegation was made from BJP legislators and Meitei civil society organizations that the Assam Rifles units stationed in Manipur were biased towards one community. On Sunday, a 12 years old student’s body was found beheaded inside the Darus Salam Hafizia madrasa room at Cachar district, Assam. According to the sources, the deceased is identified as Rabijul Hussain. The 12 years old boy was seen last during night hours after dinner we went to sleep and the next day the boy’s body was found beheaded. Further, after police investigation three teachers and 20 students who were housemates of Hussain were detained and currently the madrasa has been cordoned off.

On Friday, Election Commission has released its final draft delimitation for Assam Lok Sabha and Assembly Constituencies. On Friday, Assam BJP leader allegedly commits suicide after some pictures of intimacy with other party leader goes viral on social media. The leader is identified as Indrani Tahbildar, a prominent member of the state BJP. Tahbildar held the Chamber of Commerce's vice president position and she was also treasurer of the Kisan Morcha. As per reports, the BJP leader has extramarital affair with the other BJP leader and soon some pictures got leaked on social media due to which the leader took extremist step. During a cabinet meeting, chaired by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma a decision was taken to reserve seats for 5 communities of Assam in ITI. Assam has been witnessing surge of tigers in the state, Assam since last year.  Recently, a report was released in government data on International Tiger Day about the numbers of tigers the state is serving. As per the report, Assam currently has 227 tigers. According to earlier reports, in the year 2006 Assam had 70 tigers, the figure rose to 143 in 2010. In 2014, the population of the animal further increased to 167. It was 190 in 2018 and 227 in 2022 respectively.
