Assam Government has recently announced about introducing tax policy for any kind of events, celebration in the state. According to the sources, the new regulation fees policy includes Rs 300 for cultural events like Bihu, Rs 2,000 for political rallies, and Rs 5000 for trade fairs. Also, charges for construction permissions, petrol pump openings, and employment verifications have also been specified. Due to the new fee regulation implementation, there has emerged criticism against the leading BJP government. The opposition party, Congress has accused the government saying the led-BJP government is burdening citizens to run the debt-ridden government.
