Demand of seats by the Trinamool party in Assam

Trinamool Congress has been eyeing four Lok Sabha seats in Assam. On Tuesday, Trinamool Congress Assam President Ripun Bora said that are going to demand the seats from the INDIA bloc. According to the sources, the party will be demanding seats for Dhubri, Lakhimpur, Kokrajhar and Karimganj Lok Sabha seats. Four arrested for allegedly killing woman, Assam

A 30-years-old woman from Assam’s Sonitpur district was brutally attacked and then burnt to death by her neighbors over witchcraft practicing on Monday. According to the sources, the victim is identified as Sangita Kati who was burnt alive by the victims. To police statement seven of them are connected to the incident of which four are arrested. To reports, due to longstanding dispute between the neighbors over various issues, the victim got engaged in witchcraft. Further, search operation is underway to locate and arrest the accused one.

Siliguri, 25th December: In a significant breakthrough, the officials of the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police station recently found a stolen scooty (two-wheeler) within 12 hours of investigation. According to reports, on Sunday afternoon, the scooty owner, Saju Roy, a resident of Ambika Nagar in Siliguri, had parked his two-wheeler in front of his store when the vehicle mysteriously disappeared. Rhino killed by streak of Tigers at Orang National Park
