Assam's city Guwahati ranked as dirtiest city, listed at Swachh Survekshan 2023 results. The city was ranked 402 this year. According to the reports, the city covered only 46 per cent waste generated by the households, 15 per cent marks in the public toilet category, 17 per cent in cleanliness of residential and market areas.

Assam CM to provide financial assistance to women

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa has launched a new scheme 'Lakhpati Baideo' for significant move to empower women entrepreneurs in the state, Assam. The scheme initiates to provide financial support of Rs 35,000 to 40 lakh women. General and OBC are expected to limit their children to three, on the other hand, SC/ST/Moran/Matak and Tea tribes are restricted to four children. However, to avail the grant, beneficiaries must submit a comprehensive business plan supported by the government. Assam CM through his social media handle announced about the scheme with details.
