Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister, said that Bangladeshi infiltrators primarily enter India through four border crossing locations in northeastern states, including Assam, Meghalaya, and Tripura. He claimed that the security forces would immediately push back the Bangladeshi infiltrators since his government has increased the watch on the Mankachar and Sribhumi borders. He did acknowledge, though, that the brokers who assist Bangladeshis in entering India, primarily across the Tripura border, are Hindus.
