Australian Minister Brendan O’Connor visits ITI Delhi

Brendan O’Connor, Australian Minister of Skills and Training, led a delegation of senior officers to visit Government ITI Pusa in New Delhi. The delegation was warmly welcomed by MSDE Secretary Atul Kumar Tiwari, MSDE Director General Trishaljit Sethi, Ms. R. Alice Vaz, Commissioner-cum-Secretary and DTTE Director Bhupesh Chaudhary.

Dignitaries and senior officers visited institute, observing excellent infrastructure and equipment, interacting with students and observing the campus. ITI Pusa has evolved by incorporating service trades and introducing industry 4.0 trades like Solar Technician and Mechanic Electric Vehicle. With state-of-the-art labs and advanced facilities, the institute has become a popular destination for skill development in Delhi. Principal Shri Vijay Kumar’s dedication and proactive approach have created a dedicated team of trainers, resulting in high placement rates and excellent entrepreneurship guidance, making Government ITI Pusa a premier institute.

Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary of MSDE, praised ITIs in India for their skill development efforts, utilizing advanced technologies like IoT, AI, Robotics, and Automation. Mr. Tiwari said, “I firmly believe that the recent visit by the Honourable Minister of Skills and Training, Australia, and his delegation provided them with a profound understanding of the vast impact and scope of ITI skilling in India.”
