The Sivasagar, Assam-produced Attabarie PF tea won the Premium Award in the Black Tea CTC category at the 2025 Global Tea Championship in Las Vegas, bringing Assam’s potent and tasty tea yet another international accolade. The Luxmi Group’s Attabarie tea is renowned for its strong, robust flavor, which makes it a favorite among tea lovers worldwide. Assam’s position as a dominant force in the world tea market is further cemented by this most recent honor.
A rich and well-rounded cup is guaranteed by the Attabarie Estate, which grows TV1 and Assam Broad Leaf Jat in the lush southern valley of the Brahmaputra River. The estate, which is Rainforest Alliance Compliant and Trustea Certified, uses ethical and sustainable farming methods. Dipankar Chatterjee, chairman of the Luxmi Group, praised the tea managers and employees, citing their commitment to superior cultivation, careful pruning, plucking, and manufacturing procedures as the reasons for this accomplishment.
“We must concentrate on quality if we want to make tea popular,” stressed Managing Director Rudra Chatterjee. With its strong and fragrant teas, Assam’s Attabarie Estate is raising the bar. Furthermore, the Origin Award for the best white tea went to Luxmi Group’s Gisovu White Tea from Rwanda. But this win for Assam’s Attabarie PF emphasizes the state’s supremacy in the black tea market, solidifying its place as a major force in the world tea industry.
