Assam’s Kasturi Sharma Secures Double Gold At National Arm-Wrestling Championship; Crowned 3-Time Consecutive National Champion

Assam arm-wrestler Kasturi Sharma has etched her name in sports history by delivering a spectacular performance at the 6th BCAI National Arm-Wrestling Championship held in Bengaluru.
Official sources said that Sharma dominated the 70-kg category, bagging two gold medals for both left and right hands.
With this monumental victory, she has officially been crowned a three-time consecutive National Champion, solidifying her status as one of the most formidable forces in Indian arm wrestling.
In a thrilling and highly anticipated showdown, Kasturi faced off against a formidable opponent, Princy TJ of Kerala. Exhibiting an elite combination of power, technique, and unflinching focus, Sharma defeated Princy in both hand categories to claim the top spot on the podium.
“Winning consecutive national titles requires an immense amount of discipline and grit,” said an official from the Assam Arm Wrestling contingent.
“Kasturi has not only made Assam proud but has set a benchmark for aspiring athletes across the nation. Her double gold victory is a testament to her relentless hard work,” the official said.
