Assamese actor Sumi Borah, her husband Tarkik Borah, and her brother Amlan Borah were admitted to Assam Medical College after reportedly falling ill on Sunday. The trio was brought to the hospital around 1:20 pm for medical attention, where doctors conducted a thorough check-up and provided necessary treatment.
The Borahs have been in police custody in connection with an ongoing investigation into an alleged online trading scam. Their health concerns surfaced while in custody, prompting immediate medical intervention. After undergoing various tests, the three were discharged and returned to police custody late at night.
This incident marks the fourth consecutive day that Sumi and Tarkik Borah have been under police supervision as authorities continue to investigate their involvement in the fraudulent scheme.
