On Wednesday, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said the Assam government will conduct the state-wide exercise ‘Gunotsava 2023’ to assess the performance of around 43 lakh students studying in over 44,500 schools.
According to sources, the assessment will begin from January 18 to February 18 with the help of the education department to improve learning outcomes.
‘Gunotsav’ was first organized in 2017 and already three rounds of this exercise have been conducted covering all the districts of Assam.
This year’s exercise will be conducted in three phases with the first phase covering 11 districts from January 18 to 21, 12 districts from February 1 to 4 and the last phase covering the remaining eight districts from February 15 to 18.
