ASSAM RIFLES FLAGS OFF ‘SEEMA DARSHAN’ TOUR FOR STUDENTS OF TOBU VILLAGE FROM TUENSANG, NAGALAND TO KIBITHU, ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Assam Rifles flagged off a contingent of 14 students and 03 teachers from Tobu, Nagaland to Kibithu, Arunachal Pradesh under the ‘Seema Darshan’ Tour. The flag off ceremony was conducted at Tuensang, Nagaland with the aim of fostering national integration, strengthening the bond between the youth and the Armed Forces and providing first-hand exposure to life in forward border areas.

The contingent will visit Kibithu, the easternmost inhabited village of India and interact with local communities and security forces deployed in the forward areas. The tour is designed to instil a sense of patriotism, national pride and awareness about the strategic importance of border regions, while also promoting understanding of the rich cultural and geographical diversity of the nation.

Through interactions with Army and Assam Rifles personnel, the participants will gain insight into the challenges of border management, the role of security forces in safeguarding national sovereignty and the spirit of resilience of people living in remote frontier areas. The tour reflects Assam Rifles’ continued commitment towards youth engagement, nation building and promoting harmony by connecting young minds from remote regions with the national mainstream and inspiring them with a deeper appreciation for the nation’s heritage, unity and security forces.
