Assam RGU Celebrates Academic and Institutional Excellence at Chancellor’s Ceremony

The Assam Royal Global University (RGU) organized the “Chancellor’s Appreciation and Felicitation Ceremony” on Tuesday, celebrating outstanding achievements of students and faculty members who have brought laurels to the University through excellence in academics, research, innovation, sports and national service. Dr. A. K. Pansari, Chancellor of RGU presented the Chancellor’s Appreciation Medals to ten achiever students in the presence of Prof AK Buragohain, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Amarjyoti Choudhury, Emeritus Professor at the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Creativity, RGU; apart from others. The event also witnessed the felicitation of 23 faculty members who have secured prestigious research project grants, highlighting the University’s growing strength in sponsored research and academic innovation.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. A. K. Pansari congratulated the awardees and emphasised the importance of excellence, discipline, innovation and service to society. He encouraged both students and faculty members to continue striving for higher goals and to contribute meaningfully to nation-building through education, research and leadership. A special felicitation was accorded to Lieutenant Dr. K. M. Sudha for becoming the first officer from the Northeast to receive the NCC Gold Medal at the Officer Training Academy, Gwalior, a moment of immense pride for the University and the region. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Chancellor Prof. AK Buragohain who appreciated the collective efforts of students, faculty members and the University community in upholding RGU’s vision of academic distinction and societal impact.
