The Congress has announced its second list of 23 candidates for the Assam Legislative Assembly election 2026, bringing the total to 65 candidates for the 126-member Assembly. This list includes Nurul Islam for Srijangram, Abdul Khaleque for Mandia, Rakibuddin Ahmed for Chamaria, Devid Phukan for Tinsukia, and Bipul Gogoi for Tingkhong. The party has reserved several constituencies, including Bajali and Guwahati Central, for its alliance partners. The initial list of 42 candidates was released on March 3, which included Gaurav Gogoi running for the Jorhat seat.
