Assam: Kaziranga just found a real-life Harry Potter snake

Assam’s Kaziranga National park has recently found a snake named Salazar Slytherin. The is named as such after Harry Potter character.

Harry Potter one of the most watched series novel by kids specially written by author JK Rowling. In the novel Harry Potter, Salazar Slytherin was one of the co-founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Along with Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Helga Hufflepuff, Slytherin established the school.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma delighted sharing the pictures of the snake posted on his social media handle saying, “Guess what, kids? Kaziranga just found a real-life Harry Potter snake! Meet the super cool Salazar Pit Viper: it’s green like magic and has a funky red-orange stripe on its head. Isn’t nature awesome.”
