Assam HS Final Results Announced: Over 3.22 Lakh Students Appear, Strong Show Across All Streams

The results of the Higher Secondary Final Examination in Assam were declared by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council on April 27, with students across the state recording an overall pass percentage of 81.54 per cent this year.The results showed strong performances in all four streams, with the Science stream emerging as the best-performing category. According to the figures released by the council, the Science stream recorded a pass percentage of 89.79 per cent. The Commerce stream followed with 81.13 per cent, while the Arts stream registered a pass percentage of 79.54 per cent. The Vocational stream recorded 74.20 per cent.A total of 3,22,723 candidates appeared for the Higher Secondary examinations across the state this year. The examinations were conducted in different centres under strict monitoring by the authorities.Among the districts, Baksa recorded the highest performance in the Arts stream with an impressive pass percentage of 94.29 per cent. Chirang district secured the second position with 92.99 per cent, showing strong performances from students in lower Assam districts.

In the Arts stream, 1,91,798 students successfully cleared the examination. Out of them, 54,755 students secured first division marks. Another 79,181 students passed in the second division, while 57,862 students were placed in the third division.The Commerce stream also recorded a steady performance this year. A total of 15,796 students passed the examination. Among them, 7,787 students secured first division. The second division category included 5,694 students, while 2,315 students passed in the third division.The Science stream continued its strong academic performance, with 54,474 students clearing the examination. Out of the successful candidates, 34,079 students secured first division marks. Another 17,777 students passed in the second division, while 2,618 students were placed in the third division.In the Vocational stream, 1,465 candidates appeared for the examination. The stream recorded a pass percentage of 74.20 per cent.

The council also released details related to examination discipline and attendance. According to officials, 190 candidates were expelled during the examinations on charges of malpractice and use of unfair means. In addition, 8,075 candidates remained absent during the examination period.The declaration of the results brought relief and excitement for thousands of students and families across Assam who had been waiting for the outcome of the examinations. Following the announcement, many students were seen checking their results online and discussing future academic plans, including admissions to colleges and universities.Education observers said the overall performance this year reflected consistent academic efforts by students and teachers despite various challenges faced during the academic session. The strong performance in the Science stream has also drawn attention, especially with a large number of students securing first division marks.
