Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya has urged leaders of the state’s higher educational institutions to actively promote student participation in the upcoming ‘Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue.’ The event, scheduled for January 11-12 in New Delhi, aims to connect young minds, especially those without political backgrounds, to the sphere of politics through innovative challenges.
A key feature of the program, the ‘Viksit Bharat Challenge,’ offers students a platform to demonstrate their knowledge about India’s progress across various sectors. The challenge includes a quiz competition, an essay-writing contest, and the creation of a vision deck focused on national development. “Institutions are crucibles where ideas take shape, and leaders are nurtured. Students must seize this opportunity to expand their horizons and embrace the possibilities this dialogue presents,” Governor Acharya stated.
He emphasized the importance of awareness campaigns, workshops, and orientation sessions to highlight the benefits of the initiative. Acharya also announced that institutions with the highest registration and participation rates would receive recognition and awards from the Raj Bhavan.
