Governor of Assam, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi extended his heartiest greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the holy festival of Islam Id-ul-Zuha.
Prof. Mukhi said, “I extend my heartiest greetings and warm wishes to the Muslim brethren of the state on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha, a festival of sacrifice. On this occasion, I appeal to the people to regenerate the sense of sacrifice for one another and work for strengthening the bond of co-existence.” He also called upon the people to celebrate the festival in true spirit, in an atmosphere of utmost friendship and brotherhood and exchanging the tenets of trust and goodwill. He further said, “The celebrations of Id-ul-Zuha must fortify the bonds of communal amity and brotherhood and usher in a sustained peace, progress and prosperity in our State. May Eid further strengthen our cultural bonds and bring peace and prosperity to all. Governor also appealed all to celebrate the festival by staying in their homes. He urged upon all not to make any religious gatherings and follow the safety guidelines and COVID 19 protocols and pray for the betterment of humanity
